Why Large-Format Porcelain Needs a Specialist

Large-format porcelain is unforgiving. A 3-metre slab is heavy, brittle in transit, and impossible to hide behind. Every millimetre of substrate deviation, every gap in the adhesive bed and every setting-out error is visible under skirting-height light.

We install these formats every week. We use suction-cup lifting frames, wet rail saws for perfect edges, back-buttered full-coverage fixing, self-levelling C2S1 adhesive and a levelling system on every single tile. The result is a floor that reads as a single continuous surface.

Long light-filled extension with bi-fold openings — the joints had to line through with the glazing modules, cuts around underfloor-heating manifolds had to be invisible, and every tile needed full adhesive coverage and minimal lippage under skirting-height light.
