Herringbone looks best when the pattern runs dead straight down the room and the edges are cut evenly on both sides. Deluxe Tiling sets out a centre line with a laser before laying, so the pattern lines up with the main view and doorways.

Why the set-out matters

A herringbone floor that drifts even slightly is obvious from the doorway. We decide where the pattern starts and how it meets each wall before the first tile is fixed.

Extra time and waste

Herringbone takes longer to lay than a straight pattern and needs more cuts, so we allow for that when we quote and when you order tiles.
